Writing a Good Profile 101

How many times have you read a profile on one of the MANY gay websites and thought............WTF!!!!   Many profiles list fucked up pictures (old pictures, pictures of a gaping asshole, pictures the size of a stamp, etc.) and fucked up statements about another group of people (age, body type, race, hiv status, dick size, etc).  Essentially it is a profile full of negativity and unrealistic expectations.

Well today I have taken it upon myself to help my brothers out.  After reading this you might change your own profile.

Remember it is all about marketing LOL.  You want your profile to stand out.  Even if the person is not attracted to you and vice versa, at least the guy took the time to look at your profile.

Tip #1 - Just be yourself, don't try to be someone else.  Don't try to be something you are NOT.

Tip #2 - Think of a creative title - again that fits you.

Tip #3 - You MUST have pictures of yourself (not your dog or some object).  If the site offers multiple pictures you can upload....then do it man.  Pictures must be recent (this year), clear, and a good size.  If you want to be discrete than have your face pictures locked or private.  Yes, you need to be able to show a face picture.

Tip #4 - Describe yourself - be honest - be specific and be modest.  Don't label yourself as cute, vgl or hot. 

Tip #5 - Briefly talk about your interest.  If it is a sex site then talk about what you are into sexually.

Tip #6 - When talking about what you are looking for in another man, do exactly that, talk about what you want.  Be positive but be realistic.  Remember the question most profiles ask is "Briefly describe what you are looking for".  The question is not, "Tell us what you hate and what you are not into and what group of people you do not want to attract".

Tip #7 - Don't take any of the online sites too seriously.  It is a form of entertainment.  You are definitely going to have good and bad experiences.  Don't give up.  

Online sites for sex and dating is here to stay.  No seems to meet face-to-face first these days.
