The Gift of a COMPLIMENT

  
How many times have you gone on a website and saw a profile that got your attention?  Maybe it was the picture, or a funny comment or the over-all content of the profile.  What ever the reason, you decide to respond to the profile and give the guy a compliment.  You may have said something like:

1. Great profile
2. Funny comment.
3. Hot body
4. You are cute.

When you send the compliment, you  had good intentions.  Either you genuinely wanted to to give the guy a compliment or maybe possibly hoping something more might happen.  Like a conversation starting and it leading to a chat buddie, date or hot sex.

But in return you get one of the following:

1. No response.
2. He responses with "Not Interested".
3. He deletes the message without even reading it because he looked at your pix is not interested.
4. He responses with "Not looking....happy cruising"
5. He responses with "Sorry not into ___________" (fill in the blank with Black, Asian, Latino, POZ, over 40, etc).

 Then you have regret that you had the balls to send a nice message to a guy.  Or you vow to never send a message to a guy first.

At the bare minimum you were at least expecting the simple two word response:




 

It only takes a second to response.  It is only 9 key strokes of the keypad.  It is not a request for sex.  It is not a marriage proposal.  But yet, THANK YOU is soo hard for some to say.

One day there will come a time when I/we will log on to a website and not get a compliment.  That is why I pride my self in respond to each and every message I receive.  I appreciate the compliments and I am flattered.  So the next time you get a compliment regardless of if you are interested in the person or not, just say:
